7.3 PSD, Oil pressure drops with increased RPM.

New problem.
According to dash guage, has good oil pressure at idle. However, under throttle and increased RPMs it drops from 3/4 to about 1/3 of the way up. Engine runs fine and no noticeable difference in performance. Intermittently the 'water temp / oil' light lights up for a couple secs.

Had oil & filter changed, no difference.

It moves quickly and in sinc with transmission shifts.
No engine codes are showing.

I'm going to do the glow plugs in the near future, anything I should watch for when the valve covers are off?

Anything to check? Replace? Repair / rebuild?

My best guess from what I've read would be a leaking ORing around the injectors, leading to excessive oil use by HPOP. Should I just drive it? Thoughts?

This^. Ford does a lot of things a lot better than they do gauges and besides that sending units, clusters, etc fail more often than oil pumps. A voltmeter at the oil pressure gauge terminals vs the sending unit can tell a lot.

The first thing I added to my van was redundant gauges for this reason. Maybe it's my bad luck, but every ford I've owned had flaky gauges.

Well, figured it out. Pulled of the lead to the sender and put it back on a few times.

No more pressure fluctuations on the guages. I was getting suspicious that everyone was correct about it being guage error because it was running so well. Sure enough it was.
