720 DATSUN

I have an '82 720 KC 4x4 that has been sitting for 15 years due to me being too lazy to fix a head gasket. I've been thinking about getting it back on the road but I am concerned with a few things. Is it even worth getting it running? Will I need to replace all of the soft stuff on the suspension, brakes etc? Will the z22 be strong enough to pull a small off road trailer? I don't plan on running any bigger tire than a 30x9.5.

I also have a '78 GMC K15 but it is has extreme rust issues and only gets about 9mpg. The Datsun is also a king cab so I could mount a 12v cooler or fridge in back to keep my insulin in.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

before I would do anything, crawl around under it with a BFH, and start smacking the frame. If it goes through it might not be the best platform to start with. If you were in AZ. UT. or anywhere in the south west it would be a fair bet. But midwest salt can have a lightening effect on all of the structure.

The truck came from southern Cali and has been sitting for the 15 years that we have been in Illinois. I think there is only 1 rust hole on the whole truck.
