Yes easy, i have a LT295/75R16 ( 33.6 ) and it fits very nice a little low for my liking but no problems yet, my next set of tires are going to be 35" and then I will get a rear bumper!

i know its nothing to do with your OP but i had this same problem a few weeks ago, i didnt want to buy a whole new bumper because they are damn expensive so i built my own.. previously i had barely any fab experiance so this is very easy to do.. looks stock and uses the stock bumper. and it added WAY more clearance underneath so its definatly worth moving the tire... just some food for thought.

Would love more info on the spare tire arm! You have it on the correct side too!

haha yeah, i dont understand why people have it on the other side when they have an option, having it behind the drivers side makes way more sense when looking out the back window. anyways, here are some pics.

I got the spindle and latches from Comp4x4, they were great to work with and i highly recommend them. the spindle has a base sleave to it so you dont have to do alot of welding onto the spindle itself (keeps it stronger) also having the sleeve helps for the final adjustments. Used 2x4 tubing to make the arm this was basically a rough length and then play around till you get the right angle. I did add a top suport plate after the pic, this not only made it stronger it also provided a mounting hole for the plastic bumper piece.

the hole in the bumper was drilled first and then enlarged to make everything fit on the final installation.

added some gussets where ever it made sense to have them

did the same for the other side except this swing out arm was a little shorter.

and then built a basket for the jerry cans, also welded in a screen for the bottom of the basket and put thick rubber belting over top so the jerry cans dont rattle when they are tied down.

these are all the pics i can find right now, i will take some new ones with it all completed and all the wiring done for the license plate light and backup lights. i will add those to my future build thread but here are some to give you an idea of what i did

Yes, look on mud for the" spare tire mod" to raise up the winch mechanism so it doesn't hang down as low

Here is a complete kit that raises the stock location and levels the tire: http://ajikoverlandexchange.com/products.php

Will a 285/75/16 fit?

This stock tire relocation kit can fit a 35" tire.

Yes easy, i have a LT295/75R16 ( 33.6 ) and it fits very nice a little low for my liking but no problems yet.....

This kit will help raise and level the spare tire to its max stock location and tire size.
