Thanks guys!

I got tired of people asking me what kind of jeep that is so I got a license plate that will hopefully help with that. :sombrero:

Well executed on the plate! Great photos and trip as well. Hard to beat that region for outdoor adventures.

Great truck. I like your choices of upgrades.

In my opinion, you have the best truck built for that type of overlanding. Thanks for the read!

Absolutely beautiful scenery pics! That trail looks like a hold on to the seat of your pants trail , requiring some drinking back at camp. Didn't notice anywhere what camera are you using? Great read.

Thanks! We were quite intimidated by it at first but afterwards we realized it really wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. There still was plenty of drinking though!

A lot of them are with my Galaxy S5 phone and others are with a Canon T1i with a basic 18-55mm lens.

Thanks for the build thread and pictures.

I've been to Moab a few times, as well as the areas of Colorado and Arizona that you did on this trip. They are indeed wonderful places. Because we came to Telluride first we had to do the north pass.. Ouray or Eng Pass. Either way we did them both on XR650R's back to the CDT.

Unfortunately we take some of it for granted having our own mountains and similar scenery in our back yards, but still amazing to see other locations. We were blown away by the ability to reach these locations and how the state endorses it. Anything "back country" here gets a black eye unless you are hiking in. Even then, you shouldn't be back there when and if rescue has to be called. People complain about tax funding paying for rescues for back country skiers, hikers, etc. Too many couch potatoes.

Keep it up! I look forward to updates as I consider a vehicle to replace my aging 3rd gen 4runner.

Once again we're making our way back to Ouray and Moab. Barring any overtime we should be leaving Texas August 28th and will head straight to Ouray this time for about a week. Should be getting there on the 31st or possibly the 1st of September depending on what we stop to see along the way. We'll be making our way to Moab the following week (~September 7th) before heading to the Marlin Crawler Round-Up on the Rubicon starting on the 18th. I'm considering doing Kokopelli Trail to Moab after we're done in the San Juans.

Will anyone be available to join in? We took it easy last year in Moab since it was just us and I missed out on a lot of stuff that I really wanted to do, hoping to have some company this time so we can have more fun.
