80 Series light fitment question

I just got a box of shiny new Hella Rallye 4000's at my doorstep today for my FJ80. I was planning on throwing these on the 80 then taking the 500's and putting them on the Tundra. It was getting dark and its snowing out so I didn't get the tools out. Just holding one of the 4000's in the bull bar, it seems like they are too tall for the bull bar, looks like they would be rubbing on the upper bar and not have enough adjustment to get them level. Is this the case? I thought that I've seen them mounted in bullbars on 80's before. Anyone have any experience. I'll find out for sure when I get some daytime, but curiousity is killing me.

Really easy fix though, cut the mount off and weld it to the front of the bar, takes all of 5 mins!

Interesting, they didn't list the nonfitment with the ARB issues on the rally supply website where I ordered them! haha

Sounds like a project for the spring I guess, or later this winter once I get the new garage finished. I think what I'm going to do is throw them on the Tundra on some custom brackets for now and get another set for the 80 since I have it off the road now for the winter (gotta keep it out of the condiments!). I haven't been psyched with the Tundra's high beams, so this should help round out some mods for it to be a long distance cruiser and help my avoid the furry creatures on my night treks in the north country. Thanks for the intel guys!
