80 series spring/weight questions

Next question, if I put the 419s in the front and 422s in the rear, I should see an improvement in my body roll, right? Or will going up an inch raise the COG critically? Will I still need to consider air bags in the back for the times when I'm fully loaded?

Going from what you have to the 419s and 422s should improve your body roll problem. I didn't experience any negative handling after switching from the J fronts to the 419s. Like I said with the spacer it was about the same height. I went with 3/ 5/8" backspaced wheels to widen my stance and I'm a firm believer that this really helped my rig. I know a lot of guys run 1.5" spacers on their stock wheels to achieve the same thing.

Are wheel spacers just discs with the lug bolt hole pattern than sit between the wheel and the hub? Do you have to get longer lug bolts? How much do such spacers cost?

418/419/420 (3,4,5" Front) = 300 lbs/in
863/863J (2.5/3.5" Rear) = 250 lbs/in
421/422/423 (3,4,5" Rear) = 280 lbs/in

The tricky part is the rears:
With 864s at 320lbs/in (and I like their rate) giving me a little less than 2" when reasonably loaded, looks like the 42X springs are not my best options? BUT would you really recommend an 868 or rather just a spacer for the 864s?

How much full time weight are you hauling? I was running pretty light over all. Slim bumper up front. Rear bumper was pretty heavy. I was carrying way too many tools. I liked the 419/863J combo except when I was fully loaded and then my rear squatted more than I thought it should. Looking back now I probably should have went with a 422 in the rear. I really do like that Kurt posted up all this information on the spring rates as it has taken out some of the mystery of the OME suspension with names like light, medium, heavy. But it has also caused me some problems as I have a complete new J spring/L shock combo sitting on the shelf for my FJ68 project and now I'm beginning to wonder if I want something different.
