80 series wheels

I drive a 2002 Tacoma and I was looking at the 80 series 16x8 wheel.
What are the specs on this wheel?

Same back space as stock; 16X8. Lighter, by feel, compared to stock aluminum rims. Mine are powdercoated black.

4.5" backspacing, 6 on 5.5" bolt circle. 95-97s need shank style lug nuts. 93-94s use acorn nuts.

The eary model wheels have a steel insert where the later ones don't. It's not advisable to use acorn lug nuts on the later ones as they can wallow out the holes. And.... it's not advisable to use the washer type on the ones with the steel insert.

Same back space as stock;

Stock backspacing on the 1st Gen Tacoma's is 4.625". The LC's are 1/8" less.

I think the 4.5" backspacing spec on the 80 series wheel is a rough estimate. It all depends on the width of the wheel flange. However, what is exact, it is a 16x8 wheel with zero offset. The wheel measures roughly 9" wide from the end of the wheel flanges and therefore 4.5" backspacing.

If they both have the same backspacing, it will move it out an inch, since the 16x8 is an inch wider.
