80 series wheels

Same back space as stock; 16X8. Lighter, by feel, compared to stock aluminum rims. Mine are powdercoated black.

The eary model wheels have a steel insert where the later ones don't. It's not advisable to use acorn lug nuts on the later ones as they can wallow out the holes. And.... it's not advisable to use the washer type on the ones with the steel insert.

I think the 4.5" backspacing spec on the 80 series wheel is a rough estimate. It all depends on the width of the wheel flange. However, what is exact, it is a 16x8 wheel with zero offset. The wheel measures roughly 9" wide from the end of the wheel flanges and therefore 4.5" backspacing.

A 16x8 with the same backspace as my stock 16x7 wheels will help move it out a hair, won't it?

If they both have the same backspacing, it will move it out an inch, since the 16x8 is an inch wider.
