Please stop bumping. Every time you bump this thing, I am tempted and your asking price is almost exactly the same size as the dispersal I get from my school for "school-related expenses" every few months. :ylsmoke:

Well, tis the time for another dispersal.

Besides, everyone needs a good vehicle "for school".

;)

Let me know when you are ready to make an offer.

Couple of Q's:

How solid is the frame? Mainly the rear part, fom the 'axle hump' to the rear bumper? Usually where they go first)

Any idea if this Jeep spent it's life in Utah/southwest?

And lastly, open to an XJ for a trade?

Thanks!

Well, I really do not want an XJ, sorry.

I am in Utah right now, so, yeah, some time here. About four years in total. So far as I know it was originally sold new in Colorado, second owner kept it there, I bought it there in 03, and brought it to Utah once (never drove it in the snow/salt) for about eight months, and back to CO, then I moved here three years ago and it has been here since. It still does not drive in the snow, so again, no salt. (so shoot me, I have a WJ which is much more comfortable, and warmer in the winter...) The second owner drove it about as much as I do, once a month or so to keep it running nice, but kept it for his adult kids to drive when they were in town, and to go up the occasional forest road. I recon I drive the thing maybe twenty times per year at this point.

So far as I know that frame is solid. I have looked at it several times to check, and I have never seen anything that leads me to believe that there is any concern back there at all. When I did the lift on the jeep (right after I bought it) the rear was really solid, I believe maybe there was a bolt, that was rusting a bit, but nothing in the frame at all. Put new bolts in when I put it back together, and smooth sailing still.

No shootin' needed:ar15: My '80 CJ 7 goes into the barn as soon as they start dumping salt on the road! (TX rig, very clean and solid)

No XJ huh? Bummer, I was hoping for a swap when I head to Moab in May:coffeedrink:

Great price for a solid CJ! Good Luck!

You know what you do Bill, just rent a Uhaul Trailer and pull the thing home with the XJ!

Yeah, My folks had an XJ, and they are just too small for me to be comfortable in. Funny, I am 6'5, and a buddy of mine loved his XJ and he was 7'. I figure he had a screw loose! haha

Sorry about that. Right now the vehicles I Am looking at are the BMW F650GS plus some cash my way, or a four door 4x4 pick up, or perhaps a nice car of some sort.

Oh yes, I have it on a few places. Just not a lot of pople buying right now, nd most of the seem to think that I should give the thing away! I have had a few serious offers, but simply too low. The price I am asking is very resonable for the vehicle, so I will hold on until someone is ready for it I guess.
