Hello all. My name is Justin. Im new to the board.
I have an 85 4Runner with 291xxx miles. The leaf springs front and back are sagging badly.
I am exploring the idea of a spring swap but want to avoid lifting much. It seems that aside from buying after market replacements (NWOR, Downey) the standard spring swap is rears up front with Chevy or Ford springs in back, which net a 3 to 5 inch lift. This is too much for me as I only want to run 31" tires.
Has anyone performed a swap using rear spings from a newer Tacoma?
I am looking to improve the ride first and foremost, and gain a minimal amount of lift.
Thank you in advance for any advise!
