85 Toyota Long Bed EFI, or 94 FJ80??

If it was me (and it was just recently) I would keep both. I have a 95 tacoma xcab 5 speed love the truck but with my dog it was/is no fun but I will keep it till I kill it. It doesn't cost me to much for registration or insurance and I can use it for everything a truck is good for like dump runs, hualing brush, getting into those tight spots that my new to me 94 cruiser can't go too, which honestly is'nt many. But for me the tacoma only gets around 18 mpg and the cruiser 13, so mpg differance isn't to much and the cruiser is by far more comfortable. Now if I had to choose between only having my cruiser and your truck I would keep your truck.

Yes, my truck does ride a bit harsh, even with the new and improved Alcan springs. I haven't spent enough time behind the wheel of an 80. Hmmmmmmmm.....

Is your bed the longer, 7' bed or the more common 6' bed? I had a Wildernest for the longer 7' bed, and that would have made a killer platform for your needs. They are out there, and not that many people have a use for a 7', small width Wildernest. Check the wildernest board. They come up ever so often.

here's one that popped up on dailylister. Not sure of the length:
That price is steep. I sold mine for half of that amount.

If you have the 6'bed, you can fight off everyone else looking for that size in a Wildernest, or you can buy a used/new flippac. Either one would be sweet.

I have the longbed, 7 footer. What happened to your wilderness??!! Are they waterproof from the get go, or do you have to have the additional cover??

Btw, I contacted the Craigslist add, thanks!

They were waterproof from the factory, but over time, most of them have lost their waterproofness by now. However, when I had mine, I made a project of cleaning, seal seaming, and spraying it with some waterproofing material. In driveway tests, it held up:)

I had it on a truck bed trailer, but sold it when I bought a flippac for my Tacoma.

There's another thread on here for this one:

It is for the long bed model. Somebody went down and checked it out and said it was in fair shape.

Odd that the seller has his first picture, of my Tacoma in his ad....

I have since sold that Wildernest, and threw my SnugTop back on, and going to an AutoHome Mag' RTT.

...ohh, to the OP, I would stay with the 85....an 80 will feel cumbersome to you, and is quite frankly.

Just do a topper, since you already have a RTT...if you look long enough one will pop-up for cheap. I wouldn't even bother with a Wildernest.

I use Search Tempest for mass CL searches.
