Ok!

So shocks and springs were cleaned and painted.

Then came the gas tank skid plate that I had landed on one too many times. It had a broken mount that needed re welding, and it needed to be shifted back towards the rear of the vehicle as all of the mounts had bent towards the front end.







Then came the axle.



I cleaned it off where the perches and shock mounts were going and welded the perches on.

I mounted it to figure out where exactly I wanted the shock mounts.







Everything was then welded on and tonight it paint night!

If the hubs aren't locked, it should even be engaging the wheels though, right?

Yeah, I get what you were saying now, it took me a minute. Like when it's snowy and I want 4x4 on the road it will be difficult. But off road is what I am going for. I have a pickup that is my dd, so I am not too worried about the rare occasion of driving the sammi on the road.

A little more progress!

Axle painted, fluid changed, and new brakes.



Axle mounted.



New longer brake lines.



All mounted and ready to go!



Now on to the front axle.

I am doing other little projects here and there also, just installed some rock lights last night as well and am redoing all the interior wiring of stereo, radio, lights, etc.
