It's worth whatever someone will pay for it. Location plays a big part of "worth".

Aftermarket accessories generally don't add value, and they have to appeal to a certain audience...

Long story short, he's asking WAY too much.

A buddy of mine is selling an '89 up here in the Yukon for $4000.
It's completely stock, but in very good condition.

I think $8k is way to high.

I agree with what others have posted, at least 2x too high.

Don't get me wrong - looks like a very nice truck. The market just doesn't support that asking price and the ask is so far off that it probably isn't even worth negotiating, the seller will just get mad. It needs to sit on the market for a while.

He'll there a guy asking even more for another one in Atlanta area.

Price is climbing on these trucks. I've got mine up asking $4,800 but it's been rebuilt mechanically including engine, trans, rearend, regeared to 4.88 and has a functioning elocker. It needs paint though.
