Pictures never do justice. I took a video of the hillclimb but its poor camera quality.
The hill required winching, was super steep with hardpacked clay.

The superwinch did great, no whine, no hesitation.
At first its kinda wild using something that looks like $10 rope from the hardware store but after i made it up the hill no issue it earned my trust.

Sythetic is awesome because you can wrap it in your hand and freespool it out without worry of jaggers and tetanus!

Call Myron at ZOR to see if there is anything he can do for you.

If I go the grill guard route, I'll just get something fabbed up locally. There's a few guys around town that do good work.

How did the 4500 lbs winch do? I looked at that one but decided to go with the pierce P6000 instead. Its only been used once, and I wasn't there for it. Mine is parked on some land my Dad has and he got his little 2wd ranger stuck and used my winch to pull it out. Only reason I know this is because he had my little brother spool the line back on and he didn't do a very neat job of it. After that, I had to give him some lessons in safe winching.

One thing I didn't care for about the Sammi is the rough ride. Like riding a pogo stick at highway speeds.

The winch did great so far. i had zero traction, was on a ledge and it didnt feel like the synthetic stretched much at all or motor bogged.
We will see how it goes if i find myself buried in some heavy mud.
Definately good to have some treesavers and tow straps for long pulls though.
50ft of line goes fast.
The line is rated at 7700lb so with my snatch block pulling out a jeep or myself buried in deep snow should be cake.
I got the winch on amazon for really good price but kinda spendy still compared to a SmittyBilt xrc 8000 synthetic for $500.
Superwinch Terra45 with sythetic weighs 25lbs
SmityBilt xrc8 sythetic weights 66lbs i think?

Very nice looking Samurai! I really like the bumper - nice and tight to the body, and you are right to have the winch mount separate. One thing I added to my bumper is a small tab on each end, to give a hi-lift something to grip.

For highway driving, try running those BFG's at 20psi - it shouldn't change your mpgs and power much, if at all, and will give you a smoother ride. I run about 20 psi on the highway, 8 on trails, and 2-3psi in snow. You'd be amazed at the difference between running 3psi vs. 10 psi in snow!

If you're not doing anything over Memorial Day weekend, there's a group of Suzuki owners going over to Liberty (near Cle Elum) - you are welcome to join us. Details are at www.wazuks.com/forum in the Trail Talk section. (I'm stevec over there too!) You can also PM me.

What did you do with the turn signal lights on the front? It doesn't appear as though you have them. Why were they left off? I thought you were required to have them - How will I know that you're wanting to make a left after I pass head-on if I see you 4 blocks away?

Nice Sami, though!

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

ExPoBound good lookin zuk. I've been contemplating doing my own bumper. Mind me asking what it cost to have yours built?

Well...the orginal design I brought to the sorceror was much simpler.
As he started crafting the bumper it evolved and he ended up putting alot more time than he expected he would into it.
He originally quoted me $500 and stuck with it so i got a SUPER good deal I think.
He had 2 pre-ordered before I even had it bolted on my sami.
The next ones he was going to produce were going to be around $700-750 I believe.

About BLINKERS.....
I didnt base my whole design around blinkers no. I actually dont really believe in them. If you trust anyone that uses their blinker than youre a fool.
But i will be putting blinkers next week so the revenue officers dont pull me over.
Im just going to get 2 LED Ambers (probably 1 inch rounds) and put them somewhere on the bumper.

Are you going to be adding any tow mounts? I'm thinking about building a front bumper for my sami this week...

Tow mounts for recovery right?
I was debating on adding mounts for bow shackles. Right now i planned on using factory tow point. Not the best but my bumper worked out perfect to use it if i need a pull or snatch block setup.

I may just gusset the stock location and use that. I like the look of the bumper without them
