88 Toyota pickup

Im new to this site so I'd like to tell ya a little bit about my project truck . I bought a 88 toyota reg. cab short bed with a 22 re with e.f.i. it had some spectra tire that were no good I replaced them with 31x10.50 cooper M/T . I also got a free campershell from a friend that work out great. Anyway post your comments and let me know what ya think.

Welcome mate... Glad to see another Rescue minded fellow here on the boards. There are alot of us SAR,EMS MEdical folks here.

GREAT truck. Looks like it's already pretty capable (knowing very well what a toyota can do even open diff'd and on 31's) as it is. Sounds like you've got a great solid platform to build off and play with.

Looks like a good wheeler. The best place to start is by removing the nerf bars. As thin as they are, they won't give the truck any kind of protection. Is this your first 'Yota?

Nice truck man. You've already got most of the equation, a solid truck and somewere to sleep. Build a platform in the bed with some storage, replace the nerfs with some sliders and armor, maybe a locker and hit the road. That will get you exploring and from there you can find out what your needs are going to be. While I love super built rigs, I'm a fan the just what you need and nothing you dont approach. Some people get to the point were they might as well buy an RV and do the KOA tour.
