Overlanders, I just bought this truck and drove it 600 miles home from the original owner with zero issues, no leaks and everything works. The truck was purchased new by the volunteer fire department of a small town in dry Southern Idaho. It was equipped with a brush fire pump and tank for fighting wildfires. The season for that in Idaho is only a few months each year. Hence, the very low original miles. It was kept inside its entire service life. Its service was performed by the same Ford tech/volunteer throughout its service life. The Turbocharger was added at the time of purchase and is the only modification from factory new. The truck is fantastic. I bought it for a personal snowplow/work-truck. Frankly, it is too nice for my intended use. It would make a great, low-cost platform for a simple, ultra-reliable overland camper vehicle. The reliability of these 7.3 diesel engines is legendary and the rest of the vehicle is simple, analog and ready to go the distance. I am removing the pump/fire-fighting unit and keeping that.
