92 sr at stockton pick n pull

There's a blueish 4 Dr 3.0 with bouncy seats leather , adjustable shocks, and has rear locker at the pick n pull in Stockton CA

I posted this on the wire today.

I went to the Stockton Ca's pick and pull today to look at the 1992 SR that was posted on the Portal.

The truck has dual bouncy seats, a roll bar, adjustable shocks, the body is in great shape (blue) and 4.88 gears with locker . Seats where gone, so I guess the were good also. Someone had disassembled (removed) the dash, don't know what they where after, but they took it apart right. I have no idea why it made it to the wrecking yard, sad for sure.

I did not get anything even though I wanted the locker, but wrong gears.

So someone needs to go get those parts before it get crushed. In my younger days they would be here with me now, but age is catching up with me and I would have needed a week to recover.

I guess the front seat were there because the bouncies were.

yeah, 91, 92 and 93's all 3.0L.

Yes but as Grasscat said they're 3.0's which means the rear dif is smaller than our SR's.

The 4.88 was to help out with the smaller engine.

That's why the 3.5 got 4.636's.

4.636 to 4.88 isn't significant enough of a jump for me to take the rear end apart again. Not unless my to-do list was already almost cleared out and I had oodles of free time. Which I don't see happening anytime soon! :/

Iirc, other things not compatible with the 94+ are t-bars and t-case skid.

I only buy stuff on half price weekends, which are basically once a month.
