'93 Ford F-350 dashboard mount broken

We run a '93 Ford F-350, 4 door, 4x4 w/FWC Keystone to the Saline Valley with regularity. All's been well with the setup until the last run the dashboard itself has come loose on the passenger side.

I don't think this is all that uncommon. I know a friend had an '86 Bronco. The dashboard used to shake on that thing like crazy. What is involved in getting it solid again? Any thoughts out there?

Thank you so much in advance.

Here is the bracket to fix the dash. It Is a common problem.

Hey Paul! Like Hillbilly says, Desolate is the place to go for that bracket. Those guys have millions of offroad miles under their belts. They know obs fords inside and out. They build some ************ suspension kits for TTB.

Ordered. Guys as usual, thank you so much.

(Mike hope you’re doing well. The utility bed build with the F-350 and camper you sold me came out great. I’m just too stupid to know how to upload the images onto the site. I’d love to show it to you guys. In the end it was a very simple build. It was not complicated at all.)

See the icons at the top of the box?
Pick on the 10th one from the left.
It will say insert image.
It will open a new box that says drop image or click here.
When you click on it, a dialog box will open that allows you to search through your computer files to select an image.
Select the image you want and select open.

I know how to do it. But when I try to do it. It says the images won't load, or the images are too big, or other various problems. Plus I have some of them on an iPad and I have some on my Android phone.

I'm going to give it another good try. You guys help me out so much I'd like to show it to you. Like I said, in the end it was fairly straightforward. And it came out great.

Installed the bracket, little over an hour’s work, it’s perfect. I would go so far as to say if one owns one these trucks that goes off road, one should do the bracket even if the little plastic factory bracket isn’t broken. Yet. It ain’t good watching your dashboard going up and down 2-3” on a washboard road for hours on end.

Thanks, Desolate Motorsports!

Out of curiosity has it quieted down any of the dash squeaks? I will be adding this to my to do list in the next couple of months.

Yes. All that dashboard squeaking and squawking from what I can tell, has ended. Again, I would suggest retrofitting any of those OBS Fords that are taken off road with regularity. Just do it now before it breaks.

In my case I was way out there when it broke. And I was worried the whole dashboard was going to fall out. Hitting that washboard with that thing broken? It's not for the faint of heart.
