I like that rig. Looks good. Is that yours?

No, it's mine. We'll be taking an older 4runner with a 22re most likely. I'd sell the 4runner and keep the cruiser if I could afford it though. This 4runner is not very roomy for sleeping inside. Oh well.

Cool rig! Wish my gf would want to go anywhere in my 4runner with me let alone south America!

Off topic, why take the 4runner with 22re over the LC? Fuel mileage?

Fuel mileage is exactly it. If we can sell enough stuff we may just take the cruiser instead because of the comfort aspect. It's so much nicer driving than the 4runner.

Just got back from a weekend in Baja with the cruiser. It performed flawlessly through the back roads and trails west of San Felipe. Let me know if anyone wants any more info.

I haven't even checked it since I changed gearing. With the stock gears I was usually about 15mpg on the highway. I got 17 on one trip but I was driving 55 the whole time.

I will say that with the new gears my foot is nowhere near as deep in the throttle as it used to be.

Whatever vehicle I end up taking to South America will be geared lower than factory. It's awesome having this much power.

Thanks,
Those 37" tires don't look as big as they are on that truck.
The new gears should be great, lots of pep I'm sure!
