94 2 door xj

Hey guys im new to the site. I have a 94 2 door xj that im building. I got it when I was 15 as a birthday present and its a never ending project. Here it is when I first got it it was a mess the interior was shot and needed some cosmetic help too. But after a year of saving up I got a rustys 2" lift with 3" shocks with some 30" bfg a/t.

When cash for clunkers was in effect the j/y was full of usefull jeep parts which led me to my next project, the interior. I found a 2001 cherokee with the built in headliner speakers not the sound bar, $20.00 for all new seats for $45.00, center concole for $10.00 thts all i can remember for now.

This christmas I got a welder which gives me no limits to what I can build. And over christmas break made a roof rack with the tremendous help of my brother.

You certainly picked the right vehicle to work on thats for sure! My first jeep was a '95 XJ 4 door, but it died when some a 16 year old kid was driving too fast through my neighborhood, dropped his cigarette and bent over to pick it up. Naturally he freaked and took off, luckily my neighbor across the street saw it happen and followed him home. Nowadays I'm on a '99 4 door and its the only vehicle I'll ever need.

I'm cherokeexplrr's brother and thought I would post a pic I took of this truck last weekend that showed how its sitting right now and give everyone a little better idea of where we plan to go with this.

Current mods:
2" rustys lift (coils and aal)
30" bfg A/ts
3' firestik
Cobra 25 LTD (was our Dad's when he was driving trucks and served for a few years in my XJ)
2001 XJ interior (same color and pattern as my old truck!)
center console from a 96 XJ
homebrew roof rack
hella 500s

Future plans:
rear platform/ drawer storage
fab up some bumpers and a tire carrier
canopy and got some plans for a homemade RTT
another inch or so of lift and 31's
other gadgets here and there

Also just wanted to say, this kid has done a ton of work on this truck and has came a long way in the past year. While I have helped alot with the wrenching and fab work, he was always there beside me trying to learn.

Hey guys I have been wanting to make a back shelf for some storage and stuff but I have not been able to come set on one plan can anybody post what they did or wat they have for ideas.
