94 Mitsubishi Montero SR Portland, OR

Time to let my '94 SR go. Would love to keep it but We've bought a house and I can't keep the toy.

So, 94 Mitsubishi Montero SR 3.5 DOHC v6, Automatic, Super select T-case, factory rear air locker, Mitsubishi Manual hubs, 2 inch body lift 2-3 inch suspension lift, would clear 35's. Currently running 285/75-16 Treadwright Guard dog tires (which have been amazing) probably 80% tread on alloys with spidertrax spacers.. Seating for 7 seats are all in decent shape except the driver's seat which has a cover on it. Also has air-lift rear air helper springs and a rear tow bar as well as an electric fan conversion and a super sexy snorkel. 190,000 miles but the heads have been off and gone through, valve seals replaced, head gaskets replaced, timing belt done in last 15,000 with premium parts, new upper control arms and tie rods (last summer) one new front axle and have the other new axle in a box that would go with the truck. The front bumper and fender have been trimmed a little. Might have a seep from one of the front dif seals and maybe a little tiny seep from a valve cover gasket and intermittent Tach function. Decent Alpine stereo with USB input and Sony 6x9 rear speakers. It's ready to go places, mostly I've used it to get up to the snow and it was my daily driver for a while, has had very few mechanical issues and I've always taken care of it, changed the fluids myself and always used high quality fluids and parts.

Cool rig! Odd question, but could you tell me the measurement from the back of the front seats to the inside of the tailgate? I've been considering a truck just like this, but I'd want to build a sleeping platform in the back with storage underneath. Would be driving it at least to Argentina, if not around the world, if I were to buy it. Also what is the deal with the front bumper? Just can't see it that well in the pics to see what is going on there. I'd want to put a winch on it for sure.

You can find those measurements in the Mitsubishi section of the forum or online, if memory serves it's around 67 inches and perfect length for us side sleepers.

I've also seen a video where a guy shows how to fold the middle seat and the 3rd row into a bed that is big enough for a 6 footer... The front bumper had the plastic side caps removed so it is just the metal center section. I suppose you could argue that it improves approach angle, I just thought it looked cool. Plenty of options for winches and I believe XJ Cherokee bumpers are a pretty close fit just have to figure out how to mount it...

Thanks for the info guys. The lay flat thing is cool, but I'd just take the seats out and build a platform. More storage and room for a fridge that way. I really like this rig. I need to sell my Sportsmobile before buying another rig. Its on the market and I've been getting calls, but no buyer yet. Good luck with this sale either way. I'll be following it.

I'm in the same boat, except that I bought my Montero before selling the Jeep. These are solid rigs and will last a long time.

It has an "off-road" exhaust at the moment but I have the factory cat and it wouldn't take much to get it back on... Other than that everything is as stock except the snorkel.

Forgot to mention that it has a power inverter and a Smittybilt compressor wired in on the left side in the third row area... I don't know how I ever lived without the compressor
