97 Disco stock gearing

Can someone identify the gearing ratio for my diffs on a stock 1997 Disco 1 wioth an auto transmission? I am looking at regearing when I add lockers and see that 4.10's is fairly common, but wanted to know what I am starting with and also open to other advice. The rig is a DD and weekend warrior, to include trails and pulling a light pop up.

Thanks,

John

Rover does it a bit different as they all, at least up through D-IIs, came with said 3.54s. Then they varied the 'road' ratio of the Tcase, either 1.2, 1.4, 1.6 but keep the off road/low range the same. All that said, Discos came with the 1.2, so you also have option to change the Tcase to a 1.4, which will accomplish the same end result...

Thanks for all the answers.

While it is my dd, with the 32" tires it seems to me that it is shifting too frequently, another reason to consider regearing. I have not had an automatic in years, so I could be wrong on that also.

Out of the two options;

1 - regear, adding lockers at same time - looks like about $1300 per axle - work done myself - This route gives me the lower gearing at all times.
2 - swap in xfer case with deeper gearing - don't know pricing, but assume I could do it myself - This route, if I understood Dale correctly, gives me a better road gearing while maintaining the existing gearing while on road.

Any thoughts on benefits or drawbacks to either route?

Thanks,

John

Deeper road gears but same as current offroad. I have a set of True Trac f and rear 4.10 and a set of f & r ARBs with 4.10. All you have to do is swap diffs. Pm me if interested, and we can install as well...
