97 E350 Crestline Ambo Build/Mod

Assuming you have the same Xantrex inverter that mine came with the Go Power should be a nice upgrade.
Charger and inverter were stripped by a PO before I bought our ambulance from a bank for $1250.

I’ve got a Renogy 2000 w inverter and 20 amp solar controller. Xantrex 20 amp battery charger… and no transfer switch.

The Renogy inverter has a remote switch with no display and the controller doesn’t have a remote of any sort.

The go power components both have remote controllers with display. Once installed I’ll know the state of the batteries and how much solar energy is being collected. I’m happy to see that from inside the truck and don’t care it’s not connected to my phone (the reason the seller sold me these components).

Once things are working well it's unlikely you'll spend much time looking at the displays anyway.

Only reason to look at them is to check on the state of charge… and I don’t need to do that from 25’ away. I’d rather not have an extra drain on the system to maintain a Bluetooth connection.

Well… after replacing and setting up the Dana 70 rear axle, the pinion oil seal was weeping. :(

Initially I thought I’d order a new clutch pack for the Track Lock limited/posi diff. Fast forward a month or so, and I’m smelling gear lube again. A quick look underneath shows that a 3” long section has another application of oil. :( ;(

Order the clutch pack and an oil seal from IWE rear ends only. First thing the next morning it’s in my hands (even though I ordered it at 3:15 pm. Great shop to deal with,

Pull the pinion flange off and the pinion seal is stuck on the back of it… no wonder it was leaking. Hopefully the new National seal will stay put.

Anyone else have the seal pop out? If was an OEM style seal that has a flange that limits how far it can go in.

Clutch pack will have to wait until it stops raining…

Hopefully before June.

Merry Christmas!
