i will be watching your thread! I love my expedition and would love to do some work on it someday to make it more trail worthy.

I have a 99. What engine do you have the 5.4 or 4.6?

5.4. runs great. 160k on it, im impressed.

There is a chance my little fab shop will be offering up some sort of a kit, but thats a ways off and Im sure I need vendor status or something to pimp it any further than a pipe dream :D

i have a 2001 EB and want to do the solid axle swap, farmboy fabrication makes a kit to put leafs under 97-02 f150's i was considering that to make it simple than upgrade later. but right now its all just gears in my head so far. i'd like to see some good pics on the radius arm idea as i was thinking of pulling that setup from a 78-79 bronco. i'm concerned about clearance of the front differential.

Alright, FINALLY got the D50 and Sterling lined up for this. Hoping in the next 30-60 days to have it done. Doing all the planning right now as well as trying to come up with a good kit that includes our Radius Arms. Ill keep everyone posted.

Clint, can wait to see the pictures. This may sound like a dumb question but will the system your building be coil or leaf srung? I am guessing coil because of your reference to radius arms, just had to ask.

pics of said radius arms? glad to hear your starting on it!

Here you go. I have put alot of time and energy into making radius arms work well for off road (rockcrawling) applications, and they have always worked well for a daily driver. Once this project gets moving, I will reinforce the frame and add some cross member support. Will have to figure out shock or coilover hoops, and in the rear that might be fun.

Coil springs on this unless I happen to find a deal on some coilovers.

Of course would build another one. I will be putting everything down and taking notes. If a SAS kit makes sense we will do one. Dana 44s and Dana 50s and even balljoint Dana 60s are not that pricey, and this kit SHOULD work for all the F-150s out there as well. So, yes to both questions :)
