I've had this truck for 2.5 years and it has almost never let me down. I got stuck once and had to leave it overnight, luckily I wasn't too far from civilization. Another time I got stuck shortly after installing my winch, so I decided to try it out. This was in a very remote location in South-Central Utah alone. As soon as I started pulling with the winch under load, the entire truck died and would not start immediately after. The entire electrical system had shut down temporarily (my assumption is the computer did this to protect itself). Fortunately after 5 minutes I turned the key a little bit and got the beeping sound because the door was open. So I tried starting it and the trucks electrical system shut down again. At this point I pulled my tool kit out and disconnected the winch from the battery. By the time I was done with that the truck had power again, I turned the key and it started! I then got unstuck through some careful maneuvering without the winch. Other than that little fiasco, the truck has always started and been 100% reliable. I got the mean green alternator for Christmas, installed it right away, and now that winch works like a charm (I had to use it in an even worse situation just yesterday morning on a hunting trip!)
I'll post some more pics in more comments. I would love advice on continuing the build, and if y'all have any questions for me fire away!
