we are replacing Valve cover gasket, I was wondering do we need to use High Temperature Sealant or valve cover replacement part comes with sealant already?
I just used the gasket and has been leak free for at least 20k miles. Don't buy the felpro gasket though another member and myself (at least) got one that was longer than it was supposed to be and was a pain to force it in place long enough to install it. Get the OEM directly from Mitsubishi and download the FSM online yo help you out.
I used mitsubishi valve covers and they were a pain at times to get them to stay in place. I actually had to put then in a freezer for a bit to shrink them and make them a bit more rigid. Then I had to use small dabs of rtv to get then to stay snug while turning the cover back over
I know it's sacreligious to stray away from OEM parts but the felpro intake plenum kit has upper plenum gasket lower plenum gasket and egr gasket. The part numbers should be in the sticky thread for those parts
