98dango gets a 97 dodge van

I was looking for some thing cheap for camping and this fallowed me home.


1997 dodge1500 extended van 360 3 speed

the current plann is 4x4 with a ford dana 44 a 205 and 33-35s

ill have pics up my the end of the day

and this has been taking up my time this week

my friends have dubbed the van free candy

could have some thing to do withe the facy that im 30 my gf is 18 and well its a pannel van

and im in the van 0 dollars so far only labor of installing a trans mount in a oo venture

Today I worked on the van a little bit. Got the new muffler on and repacked the front wheel barring's. Then dug out some better old tires. when i got to looking i noticed that it had 4 different tires and 3 sizes.

So we mounted up some 285 goodyear mtrs for the back put the 2 matching size tires on the front. She will be run this way till i get the 4wd swap under way.


I also picked up my 205 t-case and a stck of drive lines

Today i want to see where things will fit and what all i want to do

not much for ideas on the inside of the van

Cool! I think that will work great for you.

If it was me I would skip the 4wd swap and just install a locker of some sort. I've found my truck will go almost everywhere in 2wd as it will in 4wd. The only major difference is 4wd allows me to slow down and not beat up the truck.

I was going to just lift the 2wd but looking it will bw a snap to do the 4wd may take me a few to get the t-case in as i think im going to get a new trans and married t-case insted of the divorced set up i was thinking about
