No I ordered these steel skid plates, they are made from 3/16" steel, I think aluminum would be too soft for skid plates.

Well, it looks like I am going to have to re evaluate my lift options, Toytec is out of the front coilovers and they arent sure if Bilstein is going to make any more of those shocks. They are working on a replacement shock but it sounded like they were still in development stages.

I did order the bud built skid plates today, so that is good.

Did you look at the Sonoran Steel systems for the 4runner??

yea the steelies are nice but certainly not light in the weight department when you get all of them on.

There not any heavier when you consider the thickness of the AL ones you might use in there place. Get in touch with Rasta 4x4 and see what the weight is and how thick the material is, I bet you it's darn close.

Yea, I am reviewing the Sonoran Steel and OME lifts again at this time, I can't afford the ICON coil overs unless I sell my Dirtbike ( 2000 YX 250) but no one seems interested right now. All PRo sells the same (or nearly the same) front coil overs, but if Bilstein is not going to make those shocks available anymore, I would hate to buy them and not be able to replace one of them if they were to get damaged.

Any other suggestions are welcomed

The SS kits come with bilsteins do they not? He orders them from Bili for his kits. The ride is very nice.

The SS comes with 5125s not 5100s according to their web page. 5100s are vehicle specific and 5125s aren't right? I am sure they are just as good.

Anyone have any experience with Camburg coil overs on a 4 Runner? I found these on Wheeler's Offroad website for $875.00 and the ICONS for $1050.00

And yes I am still considering the OME and Sonoran Steel options.

Thanks Jacque, however I am concerned that if those shocks are no longer being made, I wont be able to fix the Toytec coilovers if they were to fail.
