A backcountry trip to Utah sells the wife on overlanding!

What a great trip report. Your enthusiasm shines through your images and words.

And how true is this...

"We re-invented our ideas about camping to accommodate a new paradigm based on this format of 4x4 overland exploration."

Compromise can make or break a trip! :wings:

I really enjoyed your photos and your report. I wrote a quick write-up of it that will run on front pages of Expo and West County Explorers Club later this morning and link back to your post.

Nice to see another Montero out there, btw.

Happy travels,

Excellent report. I'm up in Calgary, and we've enjoyed exploring what we have to date of the different provinces, but I am really looking forward to heading "South" and into the States more. This summer we're going to explore a bit of Montana, but heading to MOAB is definitely on the list.

Sabre, that was an excellent report. You really ought to bring it together and submit to Overland Journal and really plug the wife's conversion. That was the best part.

Also your reaction to Bill Burke was spot on. He is a great guy.
