A Colorado Adventure in a Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Hey pmatusov,
I've got a Colorado "High Altitude Package" that includes 3.31 gears. But, I don't know if it has a Colorado specific carb upgrade... Maybe I do! Can you tell me more about it?
Long time ago when I owned a 79 Widetrack Cherokee, I've been having biennial battles with California smog check; as I was researching the options to make it to run leaner, I came across the Colorado-specific recommendation to change the jets in the 2150 carburettor to lean out the mixture at higher elevations. My AMC 360 ran fine (if a little stinky) from below sea level to 9k ft above, so I kept it stock.

^That makes sense. I bet I've got the smaller jets in mine, with the Colorado High Altitude Package. I took it up to roughly 12,500 ft on this trip and it ran great the entire time!

One quick question for you guys. As I go on more trips in the Wagoneer, do you guys prefer to see separate threads for each trip, or would you prefer a single "travel log" style thread here?

Thanks for the compliments, you guys!

So... I'm thinking about turning this thread into a "Travel Log" of multiple trips I take in the Wagoneer. I haven't seen too many of those threads on here... does anyone have any opinions on the matter?

Nice waggy! Would like have one in the future to restore and give it a bigger stance. Great trip report also! Glad to see people are not tearing things up!

Thanks silvrzuki. I'm glad you liked the report. After thinking about it, I'm going to just leave this thread to one trip and start others for my other adventures. Thanks for reading guys!
