A Few Hummers from the Desert Museum

[Tucson T4R]

I did some shooting at the Tucson Desert Museum yesterday. They have a Humming bird Avery so it's easier to find willing participants.

It was a cool morning so many of them were fluffed up to stay warm.

Nice.

I never seem to have my tripod with me when I go in there (or the other avery either . . . ). Of course, I can't hand-hold worth a crap, so, uh, my pics don't look like those.

I shot them next to guy with a tripod. :sombrero: Hand held with a 70-200 2.8L ISM lens and a little fill flash with a 430EXII.

It's fun being in an area with multiple opportunities. :elkgrin:

Ah, no thanks. :elkgrin: The IS really does help a lot when shooting in these conditions. Especially for us old shaky guys.

They do have very expressive personalities up close don't they!
