A friend of mine is looking at a 2008 dodge mega cab, he's wondering about a cheap good suspension option...Any ideas on this?

Make sure to save some money on steering upgrades such as a track bar, and stabilizer. I ended up replacing everything with Synergy heavy duty steering, Carli Track Bar and stabilizer, and basically everything from the wheels, up to the steering wheel. Ball joints, sway bar, steering box, borgeson shaft...it was a headache.
