Excellent pictures! Looks like some interesting scenery there, and an interesting mix of vehicles. Looks like a good time for sure!!

Beautiful scenery, and interesting vehicles; particularly the one in the third picture-the LADA- Russian?

Thanks for sharing the photos. Those roads look like great fun to drive.

I do like the Patrols, yet another vehicle I wish we could get here in the states.

Do you have any more photos of the Lada? For some odd reason it reminds me of a FJ Cruiser, from the back at least.

Amazing landscape, thanks for sharing.

Edited to add:

Are those the Rila Mountians?

Great pictures! The landscape is beautiful, and I like seeing vehicles that are different from the ones we use in the U.S.

Is that a Frost's utility knife I see on the table?

Ladas were sold in Canada until a few years ago. You still see the occasional Niva 4x4 in traffic although most of their dreadful cars have died a merciful death. Their current day cars appear much improved.

One of my co-workers/friends has a Lada Niva. No idea what year it is, but it's pretty scary! The generator died and he's too lazy to get parts for it (you can't exactly walk into a parts store and request lada parts and expect to get anywhere) so he just has two batteries and charges them every night... Not exactly practical. But it's a fun beater. And the rear suspension looks like it was actually designed fairly well.
