Just about finished and ready for a "road test".
2002 Tracker, 3 link front and rear with Sway A Way 12" coil overs, 14 bolt rear, Dana 60 front, 5.38 ratio, Detroits in both, balanced hydraulic steering, XD9000's front and rear, dual Optimas, Mattracks, and lots of other finishing touches going on. Might just be one of the smoothest riding tracked vehicles around. Ground pressure is 1.56 PSI.

So where are you going to be taking this thing?
I'm curious if you live in a northern climate or something?

How come no one puts their location in your sig line any more??

I am located in Red Deer, Alberta, just over an hour south of you Adam. I build vehicles for remote access and harsh terrain mostly for the exploration and energy industry. This little rig was built mostly for recreation and will be used in muskeg during the summer and snow in the winter. With just over 1.5 PSI of groung pressure it will pretty travel effortlessy on any soft terrain with minimal disturbance. Mattracks rates the max speed at 40MPH although this little guy might not have enough power on top to do it, it has enough gearing to move around nicely. I'll be able to tell you more next week as I will be field testing it before releasing it. I'll post a couple of action shots and more info later. It's just a cool little project and I'd imagine it's the only real "Tracker" that has tracks on the face of the earth.

Nice, I couldn't locate the picture of the tracker, just the S10's these guys use to groom with in New York. But there have been several trackers used.

Hmmm... a Matt-Tracker. Very cool and unique.

We see a bunch of vehicles with Mattracks up here. The Snow coaches use them in Yellowstone to take the tourists in the park in the winter.

I thought this Landcruiser with tracks was a wild looking ride -

Very interesting little rig. How did you do with the test ride? Any shots.

Very wild indeed. My question is this, why would you need a spare tire (see last picture)?

Here is a Cherokee on one. I found it a couple years ago while surfing the web. If I remember this one is in the Czech Republic.

I'm testing hopefully at the end of this upcoming week. The spare tire is there because the Mattracks are a tire replacement track system, you takee the tracks off and throw the wheels back on and you have a regular vehicle back.
