Nice build!

How much por15 did you use for the interior of the tub?

I think we used one quart for the interior and another for the exterior of the tub (however I think it was rustshield for the exterior)

& about 3/4 of the gallon of herculiner for both

Looks great! Ive used that POR15 stuff before, I was really amazed how thin the consistency was - I kinda expected it to be thick like tar, but its completely the opposite. Makes it much nicer to work with.

What are your plans for the trailer? Future mods/additions etc

Just found this, I am in NH, I got a M416 last year. Yours is looking good. I went to upstate NY to get mine. I have the starto f a build but need to update.
Where are you in Vt?

used it for camping a few weeks back

have been thinking about a lid/cover, however I want it to be accessible from both ends
so here is my plan, short front lid, middle section fixed & rear a bit larger
maybe from 1/2" or 3/4" plywood (marine grade?)
& then on top of this I can have the thule upright bike carriers mounted
so all the camping gear can be stored & locked underneath with the bikes on top

& some more pics of it in use on our vacation

or maybe something like this

where the light green section is fixed

& the dark green section opens upwards towards the lighter colored section; since the rear tailgate opens in that direction the pieces would be cut on a 45 degree angle to hopefully create a somewhat weather tight closing

OK I had to go find my dad, since he was using my trailer to haul some new recliners home today

once he got it back to his house, little Mikie & I did this to the old gal with 3/4" plywood & 1/4x20 hardware & a little paint to keep the wood sort of protected from the possible rain tonight

even built a shelf in there

then on the flat top is going 3 or 4 Thule upright bike trays I got off CL this evening for $35

OK so I have been thinking about LED interior lights for the trailer

call me frugal...

my concerns was do I go with an onboard battery charged from the yukon, since we only use it once or twice a year this might be a waste of $$$ & time

& where do I mount or hide the battery in or on the M416

or keep things with AA or AAA battery devices

so while at biglots I seen these & grabbed them

here is my idea for a simple but effective interior lighting

the case seperates very easily & I believe will allow a flat head sunken screw to be added for mounting

so I drilled the centers out with a 1/8" bit

& here they are ready to be mounted, the worse I haev to do is remove the batteries

I like this "kiss" principle ~ keep it simple stupid

when something is going to fail its least when you expect it & the less parts required the better I feel

one mounted on shelf & 2 on interior lid while keeping one spare

today so I headed up to my parents & moved the rear tail lights up higher

a before shot

now moved up higher, more protected I feel

added some wire loom covering, still need to secure that to trailer body at a later date

however the plywood is shot, the paint didnt protect it very much & has peeled off as shown

along the edges are the worst, I have to design & install a new cover this summer

OK been contemplating what to do with that plywood lid

found a trailer cap on CL that I'm picking up in the morning, it looks to be in good shape but is missing the rear window above the tail gate though

so the idea is to place the cap on top of my trailer

so off to get my trailer, & here are a few shots on the way out

& lastly a shot of the rear lights at night, though my security flood lights kind of drown them out

In the trailers for sale section of the forum there is a camper top that fits a 416 trailer. If nothing else the photo in the ad may give you an idea of what yours could look like. (Not my ad no relation)
