OK, only a couple of months out. I will be there again in the scheel-mann seat booth. Anyone have plans to make the trip?

I did not camp as I flew in, BUT my observations are, not only do you need to make a reservation, you should try and be there by Thursday if possible. In a very unusual fashion for Germans (our USA perception of Germany is organized, on time, follow the rules), the campground is a free-for-all. Not a lot of organization after the first day and many-many people rope off areas for their late-arriving friends so it is 'full' even with 1/2 the vehicles there. Also depending on the weather (when I was there in 2018, no rain, but the ground was wet), the tracks were very muddy and easy to get stuck in. Not something you want to do, 'stuck in my Uber-Expo-Truck', with 10,000 'tourists' watching. The buses run to the show from the main gate, and there is a gas station across the street that has a convenience store. There are restaurants close by and some of the pizza joints deliver (I ate at Mr. Pizza, Baptist-Hoffmann-Straße 12, very good, cheap, and they deliver), so once parked, there is no need to move your camper.hoping to make it if my build is useable by then. Do you need to reserve camping spots of can you just rock up early?
