I have been looking for an LC or LX and have a great line on a 99 LC with just shy of 200k, but full service records from day 1. It does have the rear diff lock, so a good starting point. I am not overly concerned with the mileage, more interested in the service history and overall condition.
Anyway- the family is looking for something larger with off-road capability. I have owned a 2 door JK Rubicon on 35's- I don't imagine the LC will quite get to that level of capability, but the additional size and comfort will be a good compromise.
I will post some pictures soon, but wondering if anyone can point me to a good merchant that offers products for the 100 series (and hopefully is active with some of the LC online community).
