Actual Total height when closed of -- Tepui Ayer 2, Ayer 2 LowPro, and Yakima Skyrise Small

Hi All,

Looking to get a "2 person" RTT but having some issues nailing down exactly (or at least very close to exactly) how much height these RTT's will add to my vehicle when closed.

Basically I would like to know how high (or thick) these tents will be when closed completely/covered with the ladders on top.

I'd like to know the distance from the top of the crossbars that are on the car to the top of the ladder/cover?

I checked the specs online and reached out to them but not sure if these numbers are 100% accurate or if they understood exactly what I was asking.

Here is a pic I edited to show what I am looking for. Height from A (top of crossbar) to B (very top of closed tent with ladder/cover).



BTW, I am open to other 2 person RTT from other brands in this budget. If anyone has other suggestions besides these two. If you have the measurement that would be great too.

Your measurement will depend on the mounting system and how much you stuff in the tent.

Is there a limit you are working with?

I no longer have an Ayer but could measure my Kukenam if you want me to.
