I'm just hoping I have the energy to do it one more time. I used to cycle through moods to do home improvement a lot more often, which is to say, nowadays a big project like a shop or something and I don't feel like painting a wall for 10 years after.

Managed to get the Tiger out in January while spending a couple days in Grand Junction, Co. attending a Bill Burke Off-road recovery course. Learned a great deal, meet a bunch of awesome people, gave away some free ATC swag and camped in the schools parking lot while ordering Pizza Hut delivery and having a bonfire and a cold one......I love school!

Always a bit nerve wracking when taking a 4 ton Tiger off-road in Moab and eastern Colorado this weekend! Grea t adventure with my lovely wife, great food and drink and only one trail repair! (one of the retention straps on our poo tank got ripped off....easy fix!)

More adventure when you wake up the next morning to find large kitty kat tracks in your campsite and then subsequently learn that all the dog barking you heard in the forest was "just" Bear trackers and their dogs chasing bears in your general area......Expo Life......

Couple more Tiger gram shoots. We did just over 1000 miles of back roads, dirt roads, muddy roads and several off-road trails and this beast simply took it all in stride. Can't say enough about the BFG's, Airbags and lift that really makes it capable!

Thank goodness for old school wiring diagrams! Was out east exploring the wide open prairies of Colorado when a very nice young (they all look young to me....) Colorado State Trooper stopped me at around 9pm because my tail lights, parking lights and clearance lights were out. Had no idea. My blinker, hazard and brake lights all worked. So, we checked the fuse, relay, played with the wiring and nothing. He was nice enough to just give me a verbal warning and I was left to figure it out. Pulled out the old Haynes manual and traced the wiring back to a connection point between the trailer harness, tail lights, clearance lights and "brown" power wire and sure enough the crimp connector had failed. This re-wiring must have occurred during the camper building 26 years ago. Temporary spliced the wires back together and off we went. The adventures of Overlanding!

Took the Tiger out for a little NPS tour of Chaco Canyon and Mesa Verde. A little warning about the 13 miles of crap road to Chaco.....it killed the control/thermostat switch on our NorCRAP fridge........had to hotwire it over the next 4 days of exploring to keep the beer cold........@neverbuynorcold......

I've always said that "Norcold" is the truncated company name. The full name is "Fridge is neither working, nor cold".
There's a more truncated name among us Sportsmobile fans, Nocold.

Can't agree more. I thought I was buying the best AC/DC fridge 4 years ago but its been nothing but a problem. Plus they have no customer service or repair support. I would have been better off with a Coleman cooler and a bag of ice.......@norcoldisnocold......plus, it turns out the build date on this one was 2012.......I bought it new in the box 2017! The damn thing sat in some warehouse for 5 years before I ordered it....

If replacing, highly recommend NovaKool. Originally for marine use, they have been popular for RV use. Replaced my Norcold in my FWC with one and loved it. Have a new one sitting in my garage to go into my current camper build.

Just another recommendation, Truckfridge. They are rebranded IndelB and Vitrifrigo models but great prices and solid products. I have bought 8 or so to date for various rigs/projects and never had one fail.

One of the highlights of hiking the Chaco backcountry was stumbling across 1000 year old Native American pot shards (later identified in the museum as a "Corrugated" style pot") just laying on top of the sand. Of course we left them where we found them for others to enjoy but, had a great time that evening trying to come up with all the reasons how the pot got broken a 1000 years ago????
(My best guess was some young Native American kid was messing around with the water pot and dropped it on the rock while goofing off with his friends and got into big trouble when he got home.......kinda like kids today when they drop dad's Coleman jug while camping!!......)

That's very cool, I bet families didn't have spares or extras around, or a Walmart 15 minutes away, so breaking a pot had to be a big deal and must have been devastating for that kid to tell mom (back then I bet kids were very respectful...unlike today). If needed to replace ASAP I wonder if they traded for someones extra, if anyone had one, and if so did they trade with kids favorite toy as consequence.....
