This Brute was first used in the 2007 Ultimate Adventure. For the next couple years it went to various events and shows. Then late last year it was completely stripped to the bare frame and rebuilt for SEMA. It was in the Optima Battery booth for the 2009 SEMA show. Just before Christmas we finished filming in Utah for a TV show that will be aired on SPEED in a few months.
Of all the vehicles I've owned, or still own, this Brute gets the most attention by far. The one down side to driving the Brute is that it is difficult to stop for anything (gas, groceries, anything) without getting questions about what it is, when Jeep built those...
The many up sides to driving the Brute are :
It will happily drive done the road at 80+ mph.
For a vehicle with 38" Mud Terrain tires it handles very well (when the swaybar is hooked up).
It will walk over just about any terrain or obstacle you put in front of it.
The 5.7L Hemi has plenty of power.
It will put a smile on your face every time you take it out.
