affordable bumper/suspension

I am looking for an affordable suspension setup for my 95 disco. I care about function and durability, not how good it looks. I have heard good things about the terrafirma 2in lift and would like to hear your thoughts on terrafirma vs ome or others..I am open to your input. I will be running 32in tires on light to moderate trails. My truck came with a 2in spacer lift and the tires rub now and I'd like for them no not rub with new suspension.

Bumper/winch mount-I scored a new winch for close to nothing from someone who needed the cash. I want a quality bumper thay doesn't break the bank..
Thanks for input!

I have NIB OME lift, a set of BFG 235s, or 245's if you want no rubbing or trimming (a Camel cut is very common), and an ARB bumper- and roof rack should you be so inclined, as well as sliders...

Having had TF and OME (and LR HD, and RTE for that matter) I'd suggest going with the OME. If you want cheap and fast, take the rear springs you have and move them up front and then either get the OME's for the back or hop on D90/Dweb and read the 'need this stuff gone' classified thread and get the LC 9.5 springs for the back.

In terms of shocks, I found the OME's, even the new ones, to be better than the TF. Other options include pro comp, and Bilsteins. If you're going cheap/avail you can always shoot for some RRC LWB Bilsteins or something to throw new(er) and fairly soft shocks on. I'll have an available set of those by the end of the weekend if the 7100's show up as FEDEX indicates.

In terms of rubbing, that's going to happen with 235's a fair amount of the time, specifically where are you talking about the rub? As Rovertrader alluded the 245 is a good size (I actually went down to 245 MT's from 235 AT's and it was the right move for my truck's application).

ARB is a good, stout, bumper. Approach angle is rough, but it's an out of the box solution.

I guess what it comes down to is what's your budget (i.e. what is 'affordable')?

What's the difference between the Bilsteins for RRC LWB and Bilsteins for D1? Part numbers are different, but appearance wise they look very similar.

I currently have 265/75/16s and have no intention of changing them.I know I need a better suspension setup to be more capable...and to lose some of this body roll

265s will rub with 2" lift on a D-I. Need to trim or change tire size, or body lift in addition to lift, or more lift- not recommended however.

Call Josh @ brittish 4x4 (210) 496- 3246. Tell him michael from R-overland sent you. He'll hook you up for all your discovery parts. They have the best prices on TF, OME, and ARB.

Just remember if it rubs now it will still rub under articulation with only a spring lift. Changing tire size, lowering bumpstops, body lift, or a bit of tastefull trimming is probably your best options. Trimming being the cheapest and easiest.

Suspension lifts should not affect tire clearance and wheel travel unless poorly designed.

With 32" tires, you should only need to trim. Limiting compression travel is not required. Trimming for 235/85 is not a big deal and is free.
