Africa Overland in a beach buggy

Over the last decade I have seen so many different types of vehicles complete a Trans-Africa trip. One of the most unusual vehicle was a beach buggy!

I noticed Tom has now officially launched the DVD of his trip... Adventuress Wanted. It makes an interesting nights viewing and well worth getting the DVD. The film has enough beach buggy shots to keep any overlander interested and added to this, the unique personalities on the trip keep the conversations heated. All good stuff!

One final note... this was the first beach buggy but there has been one other unique vehicle: A Tractor!

Heck...I'd love to do it in one. they are cheap, light, relatively fuel efficient, and the best part is they can be worked on with out many tools.

White Buggy

Tom and his adventure motivated me to get myself out of the comfort zone and to do something similar.

My trip kicks off on the 27th of December 2010 and will take me from Cape Town to Cairo then onwards to Berlin.
