Air compressor mounting

I'm going through the same thought process now. How did you mount your full size spare? I'm thinking about putting an arb dual compressor under one of the rear seats.

I have a sleeping platform in my bed and was thinking of mounting it under that, up by the cab with a tank below the bed and chucks on either side of the vehicle. I would be worried about the constant dust that would be coating it if I mounted the compressor itself under the bed. Is there somehow room inside the bedsides, where some protection can be installed to keep dust out?
I just got one of the ESP metal underseat storage units yesterday so no compressor there. I know air circulation is good for a hard working compressor that's why I was thinking outside somewhere. I've had the little BestRest compressor on my GS motorcycle actually overheat in the desert when airing up and then it stops putting out pressure.
I use a small Pelican case for my compressor on the GS to keep it dust free. I just flip it open for airing up. I was thinking maybe I could do something along that route in the spare wheel well with the ARB unit.
My spare will get mounted up in my shell on the cargo glide or the roof rack if/when I need more interior shell space. And I will have 2 spares to find homes for on longer/tougher excursions. Where are yours?

In every truck I've had, I've had it on the frame rail. But this induces a good amount of audible vibration. It has never bothered me however because I use my Air compressor as a redundant system to my CO2 tank.

Under the hood is a good location. I've seen some compressors that are mounted behind the air filter.
