air pump help

put a water pump on a friends 86 fj60. the air pump bearings have gone away and the pulley is out of align. the belt for the alt. and p/s rubs on the airpump pulley. anyone know of any fixes? i havent looked for a used airpump but was wondering if anyone makes a bracket and pulley to replace the pump. dont really need a pump on a vehicle that old. or do any other toyota models use the same airpump? could be hard to find a used one locally.

Yes, there is a guy, Jim C, you can find his contact info on ih8mud.com. He makes a bracket and pulley that replaces the air pump.

Unfortunately it only fits the l/c, from 01-1979 to 08-1987

Your best bet would be a search title of "desmog" in the 60's section of IH8MUD. I can't really help as I'm not really intimately familiar with the 60 series emissions controls. I believe someone over there makes an idler pulley for those that choose to remove the air pump.
