Thanks. It wasn't that cold; maybe 11 F was the coldest I saw it. In general, the coast is fairly temperate. Interior can be another story... but the really cold stuff doesn't come for a few more weeks.

Prior to my trip up into BC/Yukon/Alaska last winter, I read and read about how people are constantly surprised by the sheer scale and size of the wilderness. I thought I was mentally prepared, nope. It is truly an incredible place, my definition of wilderness has been forever changed.

Thanks everybody for the nice comments. It's almost hard to take a bad picture up there when everywhere you look it's a postcard. Those were all shot with a $350 camera; nothing special at all.

To those who have long-dreamed of going, all I can say is: GO!

You will not regret the planning and expense it takes. You'll also be astonished at how cool the people are and how fantastic the food is. Best food anywhere IMO.

I had been dreaming of going all my life and have now been 5 times in the last 12.5 months. Every trip has been truly special.

I'll post more pics soon. I have hundreds.
