Alaskan roof rack wanted

I just brought my 1963 nco Alaskan home, 1100 mile round trip tonight.I plan on building new rack out of teak wood buying wood on line...........

im looking for the standard pipe rack that you see on most of the old ones. There are not to many in the midwest . I had to travel 700 miles rt to get mine last year.

Didn't you say in the other posting alaskan told you just pursuing local fabrication of one would likely be the easiest route?

when I talked to them the other day they thought i was looking at the model they currently use. Since I have not had any replies on ones for sale I dont have a point of ref. on price. If the guy selling it is close by maybe I wouldnt have to ship or the shipping would be less. Thanks for the reply, bob

Where you at? Have one in Portland OR - other bits as well... It is the old metal tube with flatbar uprights that bolt onto the sides of the upper half... 1983 or 4 I think
