You should try it when you have to cut trees
You welcome btw
Oh snap. I'm sure you just didn't clear the trail for only YOU to use. Cool to see another group use it! Looks like mud tires are a great choice for that trail.

Looks like a good trip. What tires and sizes were you running?

The trees that were cut, helped don't get me wrong. Still had to cut a ton though.

Absolutely, I'm pumped it's getting used and I hope with regular traffic each group will only need to cut a few dozen trees. I'm just jesting about the "not as hard as they made it out to be"
You can jester about that all you want. We came prepared to cut logs for weeks. Just so happend that 4-5 groups went through before us. The trail it self wasn't hard at all, hardest part was trying not to gore your self from the logs that were cut 2" off the trail.
Re-reading your trip report, you guys definitely did it right taking a down day at the lake and relaxing. I would have loved to spend a day swimming around but we were convinced we'd be cutting past Phillips.
Yeah, I talked to a few guys who did it a few years back and they told us to make sure you stop and camp there. Glad we did. Very cool history there. Yeah some of the days my head hurt from concentrating so much, trying to put log through the firewall lol. Apparently we were the 4th group behind you guys. According to Robbie
Wow, that is awesome it is getting so much use. I had saved a copy of the old school BC4x4 trip report on my tablet and enjoyed reading about all of the various historical stops. The folks at Pan Phillips has an AMAZING Mackezie trail guide that had literally mile by mile trial info and names and dates on all of the cabins, camps, etc. I tried to find a copy but they sell for $400+ The village just east of the Pan Phillips was my favorite, the old cabins, frontier living at it's best. I'm a total history geek so that stuff just draws my attention.
