2003 Allison 1000 5 speed trans. The trans is NEW! From the Dealership I worked at. This trans is for a GAS Engine, NOT DIESEL.! I bought it for a truck I was building.
The Trans is located in El Cajon C.A.
The Trans Cost me 3,875.00. I had no core for the exchange.
I will accept the best Offer over $3,000.
Thanks for looking
Call me @619-944-7439
Jesse
I understand it now cost over $5,000 from GM.

A.)
Applications:
Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra - most that have Allisons are diesel
Chevrolet Kodiak/GMC Topkick - most that have Allisons are diesel
Hummer H1 - all that have Allisons are diesel
Chevrolet B-Series - most that have Allisons are diesel
B.) Very reliable transmission, so very low failure rate, hence less need
C.) Most 4500/5500 series trucks on the Expo Portal are Fords and Dodge, so different HD trans

Maybe try posting over at Diesel Place, Medium Duty so at least the Kodiak/Topkick guys with gassers might see it.
Maybe on this Facebook group

Hi, Thank you. good points
Diesel Place & Medium Duty = Wrong Application.
This is a Allison 1000 Gas, Pick-up Trans. Not a Medium Duty Trans.
At Any rate Guess I'M stuck with it, till I'm ready to Give it Away
I'll take it off here after the New Year!
Have a GREAT Holiday.

The Forum title is deceiving. There are few places for C4500/5500 Kodiak/Topkicks on the internet so even 8.1 gassers like me use that forum for info. 20-40 times more 4500/5500s than 6500/7500s.

True That being said,I will try the Forum. But just to be clear, The Votec 8.1 MD gas takes a 2300 Series Allison. (PER GM WEB SITE) There were some other Allison 1000 LISTED--1000 EVS--1000PTS. It appears although if indeed the 1000's listed are used, the use a Medium Duty Bell housing and matching case. The Pick up trans will not work in a Medium Duty Application.
Thanks For Responding.

You are saying this is an Allison that was fitted in a 2500/3500 truck? Did the 8.1 liters come with those in that era? I know the 6liters did not

You can squeeze all the junk from a 2000/3000 into the 1000 body if needed for tighter situations. I did one for a client's 9 ton RV build.
