Did my usual oil change and noticed I had torn a cv boot, soooo....
I went ahead and ordered the Mecatech kit from Indi4X.
I hate to do a job twice, I was due up for repacking the bearings soon, and I figured I would have to take the wheel hub and bearing assembly off to get to the halfshafts anyhow, soooo...
I ordered wheel bearings, seals, etc.
To get the locking nut on the halfshaft, I'd have to remove the stock locked hubs, sooooo.... you guesed it, I (finally) ordered the manual locking Superwinch hubs.
That made for an interesting dinnertime conversation. "ok, yeah.. the oil change was about $300 but honey, this is actually saving us time and money!"
