So the pine furring strips were HORRIBLE. NEVER buying that crap again. Ripped it all off and spent the big money for finger joint 1x3 and 1x4 poplar.

MUCH improved strength and workability.

3/4" Marine plywood was a thought, but at the end of the day, I ran the numbers and the time invested in ripping down the plywood at 70 bucks a sheet for the good stuff, the poplar only cost me an extra 30-50 bucks and was much easier on me at the end of the day.

I wound up with 12 each 1x3x16 footers at .75 a foot and 2 each 1x4x16 foot at 1.12 a foot.

So, $180 total. That 2 4x8 sheets of 3/4 baltic birch marine ply.

And lots of glue and Kreg screws. LOVE my Kreg jig!

Looks great ! Just have a quick question the Timbren axles did you also bolt the from the bottom up ? I see you bolted the through the sides but I can't to from the bottom. Whould you gave a picture of them ? As I am looking at different axles to use on a build and want to see how everything works. Thanks

Short day today. Got the rear framing all wrapped up. Wife decided she wants a split rear door, left and right, like barn doors. Makes it easier to build, so Im good!
